Alongside our design and manufacturing expertise, we have a deep knowledge of adhesives and base materials. This gives our global R&D Apparel organization the ability to work closely with our customers to design new solutions. Many of the products in our current portfolio were the result of special projects run in partnership with our customers.

Comprehensive product portfolio

Whatever you need for your apparel products, we can deliver it. Our comprehensive portfolio includes interlinings for all applications within menswear, womenswear, childrenswear, outdoor- and sportswear, workwear and protective clothing.

We offer a wide variety of nonwovens, wovens, wefts, waddings and felts, canvas and pre-formed chest pieces, sleeve heads and shoulder pads, as well as tapes for every possible application. In addition, we create custom products for specialized applications such as fire-retardant nonwovens, water-soluble embroidery backings and tunnel-finisher-resistant interlinings.

Garment design, engineering and fitting improvements

Freudenberg Performance Materials is not only a world leader in the manufacture of technical textiles. We are experts in technical garment design and manufacture too. Across the company, we employ tailors and garment experts in 35 studios worldwide.

This gives us the knowledge and practical skills to create garment mock-ups of your proposed designs, helping you identify the most effective products and processes. We can also propose garment engineering or fitting modifications to improve product quality and streamline your production processes. Other services include interlining evaluations and recommendations, or fusing process audits for on-site support at your production facility.

Our technical design, prototyping and consulting services are globally available. In addition, we offer interlining application seminars and technical training courses for your employees, as well as individual technical and design consultations at our studios or onsite at your location.
